In Loving Memory

Yesterday was a tough day for Nick and myself. Our first son Rayce Jordan Moore was born at 27 weeks. As I went for my routine doctors appointment we found no heart beat. As there had been no prior problems we were devastated. Rayce would have been six years old. As Nick and I reflected back it is amazing the love and joy that our son brought without even taking a breath. Kasen and Avery talk about there brother often and yesterday Kasen decided that he would like to pick out the flowers that we would put on the grave. As I fought back tears the entire day Kasen at one point said, "mom you do not need to be sad. When you get old and when I get old we will get to go up to heaven. Mom when we get there we will be able to play and run around with Rayce all we want. Mom I really love my brother. "A smile came to my face and said yes that is right and off he ran. The faith that little children have is remarkable. We love you Rayce.

Father's Day

I am so grateful to be married to such a wonderful husband and father. Nick loves to play with the kids, read stories, and loves to be involved as much as possible. Nick must know my cooking pretty well. The kids and I offered to cook him breakfast or go out. He chose to go out. I let the kids choose what they wanted to get Nick for Father's Day. Kasen said that Nick's favorite thing in the whole world was diet pepsi, so that is what they gave him. Nick of course chuckled but thought it was so cute that they came up with there own idea and gift. We also got him another gift from me and the kids. A bit later Kasen and Nick enjoyed a round of golf. Kasen was so excited that just him and Nick were going he is still talking about how fun it was with dad days later.

Later that afternoon all of Nicks' family gathered at his parents house and we barbecued. All of the cousins get along so well . The kids cooled off in the pool and played for hours. I could not have asked for a better father for my children.

Circus

The kids kept seeing commercials on the television about the circus coming to the New Orleans casino and event center. After they begged and pleaded we decided it would be a lot of fun for all of us. The kids brought some of there money to spend on a souvenir toy and we were off. When we got to Vegas we had a nice dinner at TGI Friday's. Before the event you could take the kids out to see all of the animals that were in the show. Avery loved the elephants and cried because she couldn't pet or hold them. Kasen's favorite animal was the Zebra's.

Show was about two hours and the kids laughed, cheered, clapped and danced to the music the entire time. Call me cheap, but the only problem I had was paying $12.00 for the bag of cotton candy. Other than that we all had a fun time!

Birthday's

Nick turned the big 31 on May 31st. We were actually gone to California to a wedding. On our way home from California my parents stopped in Pahrump and surprised Nick with a cake on his actual birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! We love you! We had decided to have a huge barbecue for both Nick and Kasen on June 10th. It was pretty funny because Kasen just kept telling Nick that he was now an old man! Nick is always a trooper and this year they had a Power Rangers Birthday!

We took Kasen to the party store and let him choose what type of birthday party he wanted. He decided on Power Rangers. We walked out with more stuff than we needed! We had tattoos, power rangers masks, pinatas, noise makers, balloons, centerpieces and the list keeps going. Kasen was so excited so that is all that really mattered. This year I just made both Nick and Kasen's cakes.

We surprised Kasen with a trampoline for his birthday. (deep down I think me and Nick wanted it just as bad). It is the number 1 best investment we have made. It is the one time of the day where we only hear laughter. My kids want to be out there morning, noon and night. Kasen and his Friends had fun playing crack the egg, practiced there Power Rangers moves and tried to see how high they could bounce Avery. Of course Avery wasn't as thrilled over that game as the boys .Kasen loves opening presents. Once again he got very spoiled. He got Transformers, race cars, books, clothes, learning books, movies, a soccer ball and some other little gifts. Thank you to everybody who bought Kasen presents he loved them all!Kasen at five is , fun, energetic, intelligent and kind.We had a wonderful day and I love my two boys very much.

My parents were not able to make the barbecue so they came out a few days later and we celebrated Kasen's birthday again. It was fun.

Half Way There!

So I have finally made it to the half way point. I am twenty weeks and a couple of days. I had my appointments today and everything looks great. I had the doctor check and make sure our baby is still a boy. He reassured me that the boy part was not going to fall off and our baby is 100% boy. :) He estimated his wait at about 14 oz. I am now feeling fetal movement which is exciting but also reassuring. I was a little bummed about our pictures. Usually we get fantastic ones but our baby was not cooperating today. The doctor poked, pushed and tapped on my stomach and we could not get any good ones. The picture is the side view of the babies face.

Memorial Weekend

We spent Saturday and Sunday with my parents. The kids love going to see them. While Nick and I ran errands they spent most of the time out by the pool.

Avery and Las Vegas grandma floating and relaxing in the sun.

Kasen was pretending that the air pump was the gas pump for the floaty. Him and grandpa waiting to gas grandmas floaty up. After the pool my parents set up the slip and slide. We were hysterical when grandma decided she would give it a try. She made me promise I would not post the picture!

Baseball Season has Come to an End

Baseball season has come to an end. It was so exciting to see the progress Kasen had made from Day 1 until now. Kasen loves to bat and run around the bases. Our team was the biggest so the outfield would get boring for the kids from time to time. Overall they played great and learned a lot.

His team had great kids and we had a very fun season! All Avery can talk about is how next year she gets to be a real Dodger!
