Christmas Day

My kids are usually up at the crack of dawn but for some reason Christmas morning they decided to sleep in. Finally at about 6:30 a.m. Me and Nick woke them up. They were so excited Santa came. This year Kasen took his time opening his gifts. He loved every gift and was so thankful for each one. A couple of his favorites were his Nintendo DS, Tech Decks, and G.I Joe army tanks. Avery took a different route and opened her gifts as fast as she could and sometimes not even looking at what they were. It was pretty funny to watch her. A couple of her favorites were her cd player and Kidz Bop cd, strawberry shortcake car and little doll, and her Barbie learning laptop. Kamden got an outfit and rattle. He slept through it all. It was nice to hear the kids say thank you to us and Santa. After we finished we were off to Pahrump G-ma and G-pas house. (I think we there by 8:00 a.m.)

The kids got these Rudolph noses in their stockings at Pahrump g-ma and g-pa's and they even light up! Again my kids got spoiled. Avery loves her new buggie and doll. Kasen got a remote control Transformer car and pinball game. Kamden got stuffed animals, and uncle Mike bought the I love boobs onsie. Ha Ha Ha! Thank you for the many gifts grandma and grandpa Moore!
After we spent a little time their we rushed home and showered and we were off to Trout Canyon to Nick's grandma and grandpas cabin to spend the rest of the day with family. It was a wonderful Christmas!
All of the grand kids and great grand kids on Nick's side of the family. My kids are that the age were they have learned that Christmas is not all about presents and getting things. Every time we went to the store this year the kids got change from their piggy banks to give to the Salvation army and were excited to do so. They talked a lot about Jesus and the true meaning of Christmas. It was wonderful to listen to. We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve

It is tradition that we go to my mom and dads house on Christmas Eve and have a nice dinner and open gifts. Of course my children got SPOILED. Kasen's favorite gift from Las Vegas g-mas and g-pas was this big dragon castle. He was so excited and had the biggest smile on his face. He couldn't believe that those elves read his letter and told g-ma what he wanted. :) Avery's favorite gift was a cash register. It was so cute she said, "This is what I've always wanted." My grandma was supposed to be able to join us but she ended up with an infection and the rehab center would not release her. We finished up quicker than normal and went to visit her. We had a great time! Thanks g-ma and g-pa for all of the wonderful gifts!

Scooters Auntie LaResa got the kids. As soon as they opened them they had to go outside and give them a try!

3 months and all Smiles

On December 23rd Kamden turned 3 months old. Kamden is just full of smiles. He is such a good baby and we have all just really enjoyed the time we get to spend with him. He has reached many milestones in such little time.
* laughs out loud
* coos and says ah-goo
* squeals in delight
* has found his hands and enjoys sucking on them
* smiles
* rolls over one way
* bears weight on his legs when held
*recognizes mommy and daddy's voice
* loves to watch his brother and sister
Although Kamden can do many things , he absolutely HATES his stomach. I try each day to give tummy time and that is pretty much the only time he cries. He is now wearing 3-6 month clothes and is in size 2 diapers. Kam has such a sweet spirit and and is growing up to fast for me. I love the infant stage and wish they would stay in it a little longer. You are such a cutie and we love you very much Kamden!

Letters to Santa

We FINALLY got our letters sent to Santa! Our post office puts this huge mailbox out front for the kids to drop their letters. (Avery looks like she is mad and crying, but the sun was just in her eyes)

Conservatory - Christmas

We took the kids to the Conservatory at the Bellagio hotel and casino. It was amazing! They did a Christmas theme and everything is made out of flowers and seeds. The kids loved it!

Polar Express

Instead of just a Christmas Party with a ton of junk food, I do a Polar Express party. I have the kids come dressed in their pajamas. I give them their ticket a few days prior and I set our classroom chairs up like train seating. Mr. Severts a third grede teacher dresses up as our conductor and punches the kids tickets. He does a great job. Thanks Greg! We watch the movie and have reindeer crunch and hot cocoa.

Tis the Season

December started off crazy as usual. Between the kids concerts, school activities, shopping, x-mas cards etc., December seems to fly right by. Avery had a ballet performance which was just adorable. She danced to Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and did a really good job. She told me she just loved to be on that stage.

The next evening Kasen had his winter concert at school. He sang 3 songs. Kasen is notorious for knowing all of the words to the songs but standing on the stage and doing nothing. This year was different. He sang and did all of the actions. Being his teacher I got front row seats which was nice. Unlike Avery, he told me he doesn't like all those people staring at him. Kasen did a great job!

Happy Turkey Day!

My camera broke and I am so far behind on my postings. I have been scrambling to collect pics from other people. Thanksgiving was so enjoyable this year. My grandmas health has not been so well so we decided to put her in a rehab facility in Las Vegas. They allowed her to leave and come to my parents house to have Thanksgiving dinner. My sister was also able to fly in from Oregon. In the above picture, my mom and the kids were breaking the bread for the stuffing.

I am 31 years old and did not know that brussel sprouts grew on a big stalk. My sister found the stalk so she could show my kids. They had fun pulling the sprouts off. Not so much fun eating them!
G-ma Strong, me and Kamden. My grandma has always loved holding babies.

My kids playing with their Auntie LaResa.

Kamden in Las Vegas grandmas lap. While we stayed at my mom and dads house we were also able to go see The Twilight Saga New Moon. I absolutley loved it. There is just know better place than being together with your family!

Thanksgiving Feast

Each year I do a Thanksgiving Feast with my class. This years' menu was chicken noodle soup, corn bread, pumpkin pie, and apple cider. The kids had fun making their own hats. They looked really cute to0! I set up tables in our gym. We have table cloths and centerpieces for decoration. Kasen thought it was great! It is fun sharing these experiences with Kasen .

Kamden 2 months

Time flies! It seems just like yesterday I was in the delivery room. Kamden has brought such joy to our family. Kasen and Avery love to kiss, hug, and play with their baby brother. Kam had a few fussy weeks, but as you can see in the pictures he is now a very happy baby. I had to go back to work which has been extremely hard for me. Luckily I have a baby sitter who loves and adores my children. Even knowing that Kamden was getting the best of care, I cried everyday for about a week when I dropped him off. The first day I did not cry Avery said, "Mama good job for not crying today. We will take good care of Kamden." I just love my kids!

Trick or Treat

The night before Halloween we had just a kids Halloween party at Cousin Jimmy and Katie's. The kids had so much fun! The moms hosted the party. We played about five different games. We each made some treat bags and the kids came around trick or treating. A couple of the moms made mummy pizzas, witch hat cookies, mummy dogs, sugar cookies and the ice cubes had frozen worms hanging out of them. Thanks Katie for decorating the party so cute and for having it at your house! Here is a picture of most of the kids at the party although I must of cut a few out. Sorry!

Everybody knows that Nick's favorite holiday is Halloween. Our house is always decked out and actually very scary. The Butler was Nick's new edition this year. My kids love hanging out with dad and helping decorate the house.

I let the kids pick out there own costumes this year. I was trying to persuade Avery into being a princess. That did not happen. Avery chose a Girl Pirate and Kasen was G.I. Joe. I found a cute glow in the dark skeleton onesie for Kamden. I took them Trick or Treating while Nick stayed home to pass out candy. We just went up the street and all the kids wanted to do was to get back and help dad. I think they went to about 5 0r 8 houses other than family. Me and the kids got back at about 7:00 p.m. We all sat outside eating pizza and handing out candy. It was a very fun Halloween!! (and of course have more candy than we know what to do with!)

Pumpkin Patch

It is tradition that each year my mom and dad pick the kids up in October for the weekend. The entire weekend is spent doing Halloween crafts, cooking, decorating and carving. This year they found a real pumpkin patch in Las Vegas. Not only did they have a blast picking out there pumpkins, but they learned that they do not grow in grocery stores. (Avery thought they did) My mom and dad then took them to one of the pumpkin patch booths on the side of the rode where they picked out more pumpkins and rode the few rides that they had. My kids came home with several carved pumpkins, Halloween clothes, toys, candy and the list can keep going. I am so glad my children get the opportunity to grow up with there grandparents. The kids were so excited to tell us all the fun things they did that know one could get a word in for about 5 minutes. Grandpa and Grandma left our house looking a bit exhausted and ready for a nap. Thanks mom and dad!

Kamden's First Bath

We had to wait 1 month before we were able to bathe Kamden. It felt like forever. His cord just didn't want to fall off. Everyone gathered in the bathroom all excited for the big event. When I first put him in, there was no tears and I thought this would be smooth sailing . He didn't make it even 30 seconds before the screaming began. (I didn't even have time to get the picture of the real screaming.) In a matter of seconds the big event was not so big anymore. I am hoping next time will be a better experience for the both of us.

Ace's Anniversary

On Saturday, it was Ace's 46th Anniversary. They always have an Ace Kid's Club area where the children can make different things. This year Kasen made and painted a toolbox and planted some seeds in a Root Finder. Avery made a pumpkin and also painted a toolbox. Kamden just slept. The kids had fun with there friends and cousins. Ace also served free hot dogs, sodas and cake!

1 week old

Kamden at 1 week old. We are loving every minute we have with this little guy. Kasen and Avery love to help out with Kamden. We call them our little runners. Anything we need they will get with no questions asked. They love holding him and are very gentle as well. We are crossing our fingers, but so far Kamden has been extremely easyto care for.

Happy Birthday Baby Kamden!

Kamden Burke Moore

September 23, 2009

1:00 p.m.

7lbs. 7 oz. 19 inches

I reported to the hospital Wednesday morning. At 10:00 a.m. they started the patossin. I was not able to get an epidural until I was at 6 centimeters dialated. (which was kind of a nightmare) They had to do some last minute blood test to see if my blood was thick enough. At one point the contractions were coming so hard and so fast ( I was at a six within 40 minutes) that I told Nick to find a nurse and shut my patossin off until my epidural came. When I finally got it it was smooth sailing. The nurse checked me at about 12:30 p.m. and was shocked to already feel Kamdens head. The nurse called the doctor and when he got there I pushed two times and we heard Kamdens little voice. Kamden came three weeks early and the doctor said it was definitely at the right time. Even with my 15,000 units of blood thinner I was taking the doctor found some blood clots in my placenta.
My nurses and Doctor were so fantastic and made our birthing experience fantastic. Here is one proud Daddy! Kamden looks just like Kasen but has brown hair. We were lucky and got to hold him for about an hour in the delivery room while I was getting repaired.

Proud grandma's and one happy big sister.

Kamden about 10 minutes old.

I was so happy to hold him in my arms and know that he was healthy. It is amazing the love you have for your child and I had only known him for a minute. Kamden definitely completes our family.

Kasen loved seeing his little brother and couldn't give him enough kisses. Avery was quite funny. She could not understand why he was naked and didn't come out of mommy's tummy with clothes on. She also just kept saying "mommy he is dirty and he needs a bath."

Kamden at 1 day old as we were leaving the hospital.

Happy Birthday Kamden! We love you very much and couldn't be happier to have you in our family! Thanks to all of our parents who played babysitter, and taxi cab driver.

Our Little Ballerina

Avery started ballet a couple of weeks ago. There is about 12 little 3 & 4 year old girls. Five in which are her friends. She absolutely loves her teacher Miss Kathy and always asks if it is ballet day or not.

35 weeks

20 weeks 28 weeks 35weeks

The baby is estimated at about 6 pounds. I am still seeing both my specialist and regular ob. I do fetal monitors each week to make sure the baby is not in distress. So far so good. The babies head is down or as Nick would put it "The baby is locked and loaded." I am to the point that I am very sick of being pregnant and I would just like to be able to paint my own toenails. :) I have had some contractions that have been pretty painful, but nothing to serious. The kids are getting more excited each day and of course me and Nick are to.

Avery's Room

Avery finally gave up her crib so the new baby would have somewhere to sleep. I asked her what color she wanted her room and of course she picked pink. I let her choose her new comforter and this was her final decision. ( thank goodness I really like it) We were able to complete all the painting and decorating in two days. She loves her big bed and has only fallen off a few times. One in which resulted in a black eye!
