Happy Birhtday to my wonderful husband! It was a hectic day. We had just got home from Yuma the night before. We worked all day and right from work the kids had a T-Ball game. My sister in-law offered to make Nick's cake and did a fabulous job. Thanks Nikki. Nick loves banana cake so she made a white cake with banana filling. So yummy.
The boys had fun dressing up and acting crazy.
We invited the immediate family over for pizza, cake and ice-cream. It was a fun time.
Nick's grandpa Bud passed away so we headed down to Yuma Arizona for his Memorial. The drive was 7 hours and we were not quite sure how the kids would travel. The kids did surprisingly well for the first 6 hours. That last hour was hard. Nick's grandmas property was beautiful. Big trees, very open and fenced around. The perfect playground for the little ones. We brought bikes, scooters, balls, and different toys to play with.
Our family and grandma. Our hotel was really nice and the kids enjoyed swimming in the pool with Chase and Matthew their cousins.
The boys and their cousins Candi and Danny. It was the first time I had met them and they were really really nice. Nicks relative Nikki loved playing and entertaining our kids. Avery was attached to her the whole time. The kids got to see tortoises, and ride on the rhino and just had fun.
Kasen was so excited to hear he got May Student of the Month in P.E. He loves going and learning all the new games and has a great time with Coach Greenwald
Coach said he is a hard worker and is a good team player. This is Kasen's second student of the month this year and we are so proud of you!
My little girl is growing up so fast. Her pre-school had a graduation. Girls wore pink and the boys were in blue. It was really cute. They sang songs and did some speaking. Avery's teacher wanted her to do a lot of the speaking but Avery told them no. She loved school and did fantastic!
Avery is so shy in front of crowds. She had been singing every song and just before we left she said" Mom I am not singing or talking. I do not like all the people looking at me." Well she did great and sang. We are so proud of you!

Avery and her teacher Mrs. Stramel. She said she would take 100 Avery's at a time she was so great in class. She was a great teacher and Avery just adored her.
Avery's best friend Dillon Aveena. They sat by each other all year and Avery's teacher said she watched out for him and played the little mother hen role. He is a really nice little boy.

Avery had her first formal tea party. Her friend Peyton Odergard through a tea party for her 6th birthday. They all dressed in their Sunday best. When they got there they were given huge hats and clutch purses to match their dresses. It was so cute and Avery had a blast!
I absolutely love being a mom! Although it can be hard sometimes I would not change it for the world. My children are so sweet and showered me with flowers, cards and some gifts. I love these little guys and am so blessed that they are mine.
My mom and dad wanted to have lobster for Mother's Day. Usually they fly them in but it was spur of the moment so they had to drive all around Las Vegas to find them. Of course the wanted live ones so the kids could play with them. Kasen loved them Avery not so much and Kam didn't want anything to do with them.
So while Kasen and Avery were in with the lobsters, Kam and my mom were out having a great time on the scooter.
When it came down to eating time my kids had a hard time. I am usually not one to offer a bribe but today I did. If they each took a bite I would give them a quarter. Kasen did great. Stuck it in his mouth, chewed as fast as he could and swallowed. He was so proud of himself. Avery on the other hand a rough time. She put in in her mouth and started to chew, and was just gagging. As everyone knows Avery is so determined and really wanted that quarter that finally through the gagging she got it swallowed. Of course neither of them ate any more of the lobster. I am sure they will always remember their first experience with live lobster!
Avery just finished her second year in ballet. They did a dance to the song of Goodship Lolliypop by Shirley Temple. I thought she looked so beautiful in her costume. Avery loves to dress up and her favorite part is the make up.
Avery is very focused in class and is a really good listener. She knew every move in the dance. On stage Avery can get a little shy but she was fantastic!

Avery was excited Aunt Nikki and Matthew were able to come watch her. Both sets of grandparents came as well. I know how much Avery loves flowers so after her first performance we surprised her with some roses.
Avery loves ballet and will get to move up a class next year. She is so excited but a little sad to have to leave her teacher Mrs. Kathy.

At a year and a 1/2 Kam has learned to color. When he is done he will look up at you and smile. You are very proud of your work even if it happens to be on the tile or walls. Kasen and Avery never colored on anything but paper. We are always having to hide the crayons and markers and be on the look out.
