Thanksgiving

Sorry no pics did not have my camera. We were with Nick's family this year for Thanksgiving. I had asked his grandma what we could bring and she said mashed potatoes. I was thinking this would be an easy thing since I do not love to cook. So I of course said OK. Then she proceeded to tell me we needed to make 15lbs. of mashed potatoes. After picking my jaw up off the floor I had to just laugh. I have the best husband and he did most of the work and they turned out great. It only took us 5 hours to peel cook and blend :) We had a wonderful time with his family and definitely a memorable day with a whole lot of laughter!

Trick or Treating

Our Halloween was quite different this year. Kasen was sick with a fever and did not want to take any pictures nor did he want to do any trick or treating. He stayed home with Nick and the boys sat in the courtyard and handed out candy.

Me and my mom took Avery and Kamden around to family and a few neighbors. They had a blast!

Kasen- Knight Avery- Butterfly Princess Kamden- Skeleton

Kasen begged for my mom and dad to dress up, so they did. They drove to Pahrump and when the kids answered the door this is what they got. It scared them so bad and I haven't had that good of a laugh in a long time. My parents are great!

Avery loved carving the pumpkins. She loves all the gooey mess. Kasen not so much , but he was a trooper and took a couple of hand fulls of goop out.

Halloween Party

Cousin Katie hosted a Halloween party for the kids. The kids played pass the pumpkin, pin the nose on the pumpkin and played. The kids had a lot of fun. We each brought goody bags and the kids were able to go around and trick or treat. She also made a fantastic dinner! Thanks Katie.

Write from Katie's house we went to Avery's pre-school Harvest carnival. All she cared about was getting her face painted. Avery was a butterfly princess and Kasen was a knight.

I think they actually did a pretty good job.

Pumpkin Patch

Pahrump's Pumpkin Patch! An organization was raising money for disabled children so we thought it would be nice to donate and also fun. The kids had a blast picking out their very own pumpkin. Kasen of course wanted a big one, Avery wanted a cute one, and they thought Kamden needed the tiniest one they could find.

They had a maze made out of bails of hay, Big tall mounds that the kids could climb and jump off of, petting zoo, hay rides and the fire department was there giving tours of the fire trucks.

80's Murder Mystery

We were invited to our friend Erik's 3o b-day party. It was a 80's murder mystery party. We had a lot of fun finding and dressing up in our costumes. I was an 80's Valley girl and Nick was Mork from the show Mork and Mindy. ( Most of us thought he looked like Billy Ray Cyrus). It ended up that Cyndi Lauper murdered Crocodile Dundee. It was fun!

Roos N More

My mom took us to a zoo out in Moapa. The owners are husband and wife veterinarians. We were thinking it might be a little hokey but after going it was the best petting zoo I have ever been to. They let you hold almost every animal there. There was not many people so my kids got an enormous amount of time with the animals. Avery couldn't get enough, and Kasen was a little more apprehensive. They had a really cute monkey that the kids held. He liked to play peek-a-boo in Avery's shirt.

It was really neat for me as well because the variety of animals were huge. They had animals that I have only seen in pics like the armadillo. As soon as Kasen held it, it would roll in a ball and when he put it on the ground it would open. I noticed that they had really hairy legs. Kam didn't really want to share his stroller with the monkey and kept giving him the evil eye. The camel they had ate a carrot right out of Kasen's mouth. He just started to laugh.

This place had goats, tortoises, otters, guinea pigs, kangaroos, Zebra, Zedonk, opossum, monkeys, animals that I can't even pronounce their names. The trainer sat the kangaroo down and lets us see in the pouch and feel it. It was so cool. I could ramble on forever, but in short we had and amazing and fun experience with the animals.
