Roos N More

My mom took us to a zoo out in Moapa. The owners are husband and wife veterinarians. We were thinking it might be a little hokey but after going it was the best petting zoo I have ever been to. They let you hold almost every animal there. There was not many people so my kids got an enormous amount of time with the animals. Avery couldn't get enough, and Kasen was a little more apprehensive. They had a really cute monkey that the kids held. He liked to play peek-a-boo in Avery's shirt.

It was really neat for me as well because the variety of animals were huge. They had animals that I have only seen in pics like the armadillo. As soon as Kasen held it, it would roll in a ball and when he put it on the ground it would open. I noticed that they had really hairy legs. Kam didn't really want to share his stroller with the monkey and kept giving him the evil eye. The camel they had ate a carrot right out of Kasen's mouth. He just started to laugh.

This place had goats, tortoises, otters, guinea pigs, kangaroos, Zebra, Zedonk, opossum, monkeys, animals that I can't even pronounce their names. The trainer sat the kangaroo down and lets us see in the pouch and feel it. It was so cool. I could ramble on forever, but in short we had and amazing and fun experience with the animals.

Kamden 1st Birthday

Kamden 2 weeks 6 months

I can't believe it has been 1 year since my baby was born. Time has gone by so quickly. I love the baby stage and wish I could bottle it up and save some for later. I love this little guy and our family has been blessed to have him. He is very happy and loves to smile. Kamden enjoyed ripping the paper off his presents and playing in his cake.

Kams favorites: Kasen making him laugh, playing chase and peek-a-boo, mommy rocking him to sleep, saying uh-oh, throwing his sippy cup and laughing, making high pitched screeches, waving goodbye to people, and getting into EVERYTHING!

Kams least favorite things: NAPS, car rides

Kamden loves to be in on the action and just follows Kasen and Avery around. He is taking a few steps, but is much faster at crawling. Kams is funny and loves to tease. I have cherished every moment spent with you. I love you! Happy 1st birthday!

Harvest Festival

Avery performed at the Fall Festival, and was cute as ever. After she danced we went over to the carnival and rode some rides.

Kasen only rode a few of the little kid rides this year. We ran into Avery's little friend Alina and she rode rides with her and had a blast. I was not able to get a lot of pics of Kasen because he was riding the rides that went SUPER fast. His favorite was this one that he had to lay on his stomach and his feet and legs were dangling. It made my stomach turn just watching it. The kids had a great time and the next morning we enjoyed watching the parade.

Football Game

Kasen # 64 at his first football game. He said he was a little nervous but once he got out there he felt o.k.

Kasen's biggest fan!

He loved every minute and played really well. We are proud of you!

Labor Day Fun

We decided to spend our last summer trip up at Mammoth Creek. It was very quiet and relaxing. It was just us and Nicks parents. The kids were so excited to fish. Kasen caught eight fish and loved hanging out with dad and grandpa

Avery was hilarious. She has no patience at all. She was trying real hard and sat waiting a lot longer than I had expected. Right when she was telling us she was sick of fishing and how bored she was she went to throw her pole down and all of a sudden she says "Oh I think I got something. Sure enough it was a fish."

Kam relaxing on the hammock.

The kids loved the worms. I thought they were DISGUSTING. Avery enjoyed playing with them a lot more than fishing.
We fished, rode quads, hiked and enjoyed rides on the Rhino. We had a fantastic time.

Kamden 11 months

Kamden is all BOY! He is always on the go. Kam was cruising around the glass table as fast as he could, fell and got a bloody lip. I think I was more sad than he was. All he was after was the camera!
