Christmas at Pahrump Grandma and Grandpas

It is tradition that after we open our gifts we go in our pajamas down the street to Nick's mom and dads. We usually open a few gifts and have breakfast. I think we made at down there at about 7:00 a.m. Avery got dress up clothes and Tangled pajamas and shirt. She loved them.

Kasen got a a small Foosball table and clothes as well. His cousin Matthew gave him an air guitar.

This was the three of them rocking out together. Later Matthew went and got his air guitar and things got really crazy!!! Thank you grandma and grandpa for our gifts!

Christmas Morning

I love watching the excitement on my children's faces when they walk in the room and see there gifts for the first time. Kasen is very focused on what may be inside! Kasen always likes to look at them and try to guess what it might be. He is actually pretty good. A few of Kasens favorite things were the Tony Hawk Shred WII game, a skateboard ramp, an army helicopter and DS games.

Avery just opens as fast as she can. A few of her favorites were a Pink DS, Fur Real walking dog, Baby Alive and high chair and her new clothes.

Kamden tearing into gifts, but not caring one bit about what is inside!

Christmas Eve

Kasen tired to guess what the gift could be before opening.

Kam enjoyed unwrapping, but did not care what was inside.

Avery couldn't open them fast enough!

It is tradition that the kids get to open a pair of new pajamas on Christmas Eve. Avery with her tutu, Kam had penguins and Kasen got Christmas Phineas and Ferb pajamas.
Each year we spend Christmas Eve with my parents. The kids love going there and trying to guess what namers and papa got them. As you can see from the picture they got SPOILED. My mom wrapped Kasen's gift in Mickey Mouse paper, Avery's in Tinkerbell, and Kamden had Winnie the Pooh. She made them go on a hunt and find there gifts and make piles. The kids thought this was so fun. We had a really nice dinner and just chatted. We really tried to teach the importance of the true meaning of Christmas and about giving during the holidays. It was so neat to hear the kids as we were driving to Vegas say "you know mom and dad, Christmas is not just about Santa, it is about baby Jesus being born in a stable."

Kamden Pics

Calvin Klein models here I come!

I am a little late on Kamden's one year old pictures. (Sorry Kam you are really 15 months in these.) Salina with Salina Ann Photgoraphphy tooks these pictures. It was pouring rain as I am trying to haul three kids, Kam's cake and balloons over to her house. Kam is also cutting his molars and not the most happiest baby right now. I was not sure how this was going to work but it did. Salina was so patient and in no hurry. What I love about the photos is that each picture captures a glimpse of his little personality. I love the photos and had an extremely hard time picking which ones I wanted. How can you resist this little face? Thanks Salina!

Bellagio

We took the kids to the Bellagio Atrium. Most everything is made out of fresh flowers or the seeds. It is always so beautiful.

The kids favorite was the Polar Bear .

Letters to Santa

The kids were so excited to write their letters and drop them off in the big mailbox. (sorry guys the sun was right in your eyes). Kase wrote his all on his own and did an amazing job on spelling his words. He asked for some Tony Hawk clothes, Tony Hawk Shred WII game and a skateboard ramp. Avery asked for the Fur Real walking dog, a pink Nintendo DS and the Baby Alive doll.

What we weren't expecting was the day before Christmas Eve their were two gifts left outside our front door and a note from the elves. They had brought Kase a Tony Hawk shirt and Avery a little baby doll. My kids were so excited that Santa had gotten there letters. It was so nice to see the belief in there little eyes.

Christmas Programs

Unfortunately this year both Kasen and Avery's Christmas programs were on the same night at the same time. We had decided that the boys go with boys and girls go with girls. My parents drove from Vegas, Nick's parents and grandparents also came. I was able to watch Kasen's dress rehearsal at school and he was so cute. He new every word and every action.

Avery's pre-school did the Christmas story. Avery was an angel. Just like Kasen she new her words and actions and sung her little heart out. I told Nick I would take a ton of pics for him and after picture two my camera battery died. Hopefully next year that won't happen. They both were great!

Kase and Kam

We were down at the park waiting for Christmas fireworks. They were wonderful. It was like 4th of July in Decembner. Thought this was a really cute picture of the two of them.

Breakfast with Santa

Our school did a breakfast with Santa. I was on the clean up crew so I just brought Kasen and Avery. We served pancakes sausage and juice.

Kasen and his teacher Mrs. Eisner.

Kasen has always liked to sit on Santa's lap and tell him all of the MANY things he wants for Christmas. Last year Avery cried so I figured this year would be the same. If any of you know Avery she will do anything for candy. Once she saw that Santa was handing out candy canes she hopped right on his lap and told him what she wanted. They had a great time.
