First Day of Kindergarten!

Today was Kasen's first day of Kindergarten. Most parents were crying, but I was so excited for him to meet new friends and start learning new exciting things. Due to budget cuts in our district I am the only Kindergarten teacher at my school. Yes Kasen is in my class, ( probably the biggest reason I wasn't crying ) and I am loving it. I can see first hand how he is behaving and progressing academically. Kasen loves school and is trying very hard to remember to call
me Mrs. Moore and not mom.

Baby Update

I am 32 weeks and the baby is about 4 1/2 pounds. This baby is still stubborn and when we tried for pictures this time he had both his hands in front of his face. The babies head is facing down and the doctor says he is growing and developing well. He is on the bigger side which didn't surprise me much. Both of my kids have been good size babies. I am now on weekly appts. and continuing to see my regular ob and my high risk doctor. My high risk doctor is having me do ultra sounds and fetal monitoring each week that I go. With school starting it has put a little more stress on my body, but all in all I only have a few weeks to go before the big delivery.

Family Vacation

We started our vacation in Beaver, Utah for the 24th of July. My family always has a family reunion around that time. Once again the little hometown parades are the best. My kids enjoyed the floats and of course the large amounts of candy they collected. After the parade we headed over to the city park. Kasen entered a race they had for each age group and did fantastic. He one $1.00 and a lollipop. The kids played in bouncy houses, ate snow cones and enjoyed the play area at the park. Later that night we let off fireworks.

The next day we enjoyed our family reunion. It is always great to talk to family you haven't seen for the past year. My grandma's health has not been the best so I enjoyed talking with her and spending time with her. She is such a kind and funny person. I have so many great memories of Beaver and I always loved getting to stay with my grandma when I was younger. As we left Beaver we continued our trek over to Blanding, Utah to visit with our good friends Ian and Adrienne. By the way the drive was beautiful but long. It was really good to hang out with them.
Ian and Adrienne have two kids the same age as ours. The kids got a long great. The boys could not get enough of hunting and shooting games. One of the days we decided to go to Durango Colorado to ride a train. Little did we know the train was 3 1/2 hours one way going 10 miles per hour. 7 hours on a train was a little much, but the kids absolutely loved it.

Avery, Kasen, Jett and Tenli and a train worker. The boys enjoyed sticking there heads out the window looking for wildlife.

We had a two hour stop in Silverton where we grabbed some lunch and looked at some shops they had. You would have thought the kids had enough of trains, but they managed to find this one. Though the train was neat, it was way to long of a ride. We had made the comment that the train was not really for kids and our friend Ian had said," It is not a train for anybody" It was pretty funny. We left there house and drove to St. George and spent the night and then headed home. It was a great trip but I was tired of living out of a suitcase for 6 days.

Total trip mileage: 1800 miles

Total driving hours: 25
