Dodger Game
We had been home a little over 24 hours from Mexico and we turned around and headed to Sunny California. I had just enough time to wash clothes and repack. Our friend Erick (t-ball coach) arranged a trip to LA to go see The Dodgers play. There ended up being about 30 of us who went.
On Saturday we hung out Zuma beach. The kids loved it! Kasen boogie boarded, Avery enjoyed playing in the sand and Kamden enjoyed eating the sand.
Sunday afternoon we headed to the game. We had all you can eat tickets which was wonderful. My kids ate so much! Hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, peanuts, drinks, cotton candy, I am just surprised they didn't end up with sick tummies. They had fun with there friends and after the game they got to run around the bases. We had to head back to Parhump after the game , but we had a great weekend! Thanks Coach Eric and Lori.Posted by charese at 2:41 PM 0 comments

Mexico
Thanks to our friends Ian and Adrienne we were able to take a vacation to Mexico! Adriennes' mom had a time share that she let us use for the week. We had never left the baby and never left the two older ones for longer than a weekend. I was very apprehensive so I agreed to 5 days. Of course they were fine and had a blast at both Grandparents houses. We stayed at the Grand Mayan Beach Resort, which was in between Cancun and Playa Del Carmen. Our room was amazing. We had to master suites attached to a small kitchen and living room. We even had our own personal small pool on the deck. It was a beautiful resort and the pools were amazing. The beach was a bit rocky so we had no problem staying by the pools.
While the boys golfed, me and Adrienne headed down to Playa Del Carmen to do some shopping. We shopped mostly for silver. Adrienne found a very cute key shaped pendant to go with a silver chain and talked me into getting one to. I love it! Thanks Adrienne. The nightly entertainment was very interesting as well. We'll just say it include a whole lot of spandex outfits. Not only on the girls but the guys as well.
We took a day trip to Tulum which are Mayan Ruins. We spent two hours on a catamaran boat. We then stopped at the reef to snorkel. Only Nick decided to do this. We took small boats to the beach and spent some time. From there we took a van to the ruins. I actually learned quite a lot of interesting information. As we were walking through the ruins iguanas were right next to us walking to.Posted by charese at 3:44 PM 1 comments

Football camp
Kasen attended a four day football camp and absolutley loved it. He was one of the smallest but did a really good job. He has decided he wants to play in the fall.

4th of July
Nick was on the Liberty Fest committe this year which planned the Town of Pahrumps 4th of July. Down at the park they had a lot of food vendors, music and different booths. Thanks to Nick he put an Easy-up for us to stay cool. We spent the majority of the evening down there along with what felt like the whole town of Pahrump.

Swim Lessons
We started our summer off with a session of swim lessons. For some reason both my kids have always been afraid of putting their head underwater or even getting their faces wet. I thought this would be a good time to learn without me being their teacher. Their instructor was Paul in whom they just loved. He was really patient and positive with the kids. I can happily say after ten days my kids can go under water. They learned so much and had a great time. Now all I hear is, I miss Paul can we go back. :)
