Paice Family Reunion

We went up to Beaver on Friday, July 25 for the Paice Family Reunion. That is for my moms side of the family. We planned to stay Friday and Saturday night and on Sunday we would head over to Mammoth Creek. It is always so much fun to visit with your family and catch up with everyone. My grandma who is 86 has a huge front lawn with a couple of apple trees and a tire swing.

Kasen learned very quickly how to make an apple thrower out of just one stick. This kept him out of trouble so as long as he aimed them at the road we did not care. He also loved riding in the tire swing. He would just laugh and say higher. He enjoyed wrestling with his cousines and of course hanging out with his grandpa. Kasen also helped trim all of gramdmas trees and bushes. He thought using the sharp hedgers was really fun. SCARY.

Avery loved being outside and just able to roam around. She insisted on picking up the fallen apples so she could feed them to the horses. She was so proud of herself that she had collected a bag full. It was pretty funny because she would try so hard to carry the bag but it was much to heavy. Avery loved the tire swing only when Kasen was not pushing her. It rained on Saturday afternoon, but other than that the weather was very nice. It was much cooler than what we have been experiencing in Pahrump. All in all it was a great trip and my grandma is a wonderful lady. I love hearing all of her stories.

Family Vacation

We decided to take a family vacation to Carlsbad California. It is about a half hour from San Diego. Our friends Ian and Adrienne joined us. They have a little boy and girl about six weeks younger than ours. Kasen and Jett played really well to gether. Everyting was pirates and sword fighting. We stayed at the Grand Palisades Resort right across the street from Legoland. We were close to Legoland, the beach, shopping and a lot of restaurants. We couldn't have asked for better weather.

Kasen had a great time on the rides. Avery was still a bit short for many of them. On the second day we went to Pirates Cove. It is a water park inside Legoland. We each had to keep an eye on one child in fear of losing them. It was a bit chaotic with the mass amounts of children but the kids had a fantastic time playing in the water. Thank you Adrienne for this collage.

We were about 1 or 2 miles away from the beach. Like her mom Avery wasn't so sure of all the sand sticking to her ENTIRE body. Kasen and Jett loved running from the waves. Nick helped the boys make a little sand castle and shortly after a wave came and washed it away.

Our hotel was nice, it had a little water park, swimming pool and park. At night or any free time we had we could take the kids there to unleash there energy. We had a great vacation and we hope to do it again! (you can click on the pictures to see them better)

Threadzfest 2008

Nick owns a clothing store called Threadz where he worked for several months planning "Threadzfest." He had vendors like No Fear, Crew, DC, Electric and many others. He had a BMX and Scateboard competition and 7 live bands. He had a great turn out and has had a lot of positive feedback from the community. I am very proud of him. Our friends Ian and Adrienne were also able to come down from Riverton, Utah. It was a lot of fun. (click on the pictures)

Avery asleep

It is a miracle. Avery fell asleep somewhere other than her bed. She must have been really tired. I was leaning over trying to brush Kasen's teeth and I felt her leaning against me. I thought she was just messing around. When I went to move her I noticed she was asleep sitting up. It was funny.

LaResa's Birthday

Happy Birthday Auntie LaResa! The kids had fun playing with you. Kasen loves his airplane and drives it up and down all of our walls. THANKS:)

4th of July

We were up in Cedar City, Utah for 4th of July weekend. One of the nights we stayed with Matt and Carrie Buhler. Our kids had so much fun playing together. Thursday we let of fireworks. The girls were a little more apprehensive but Kasen was really trying hard to help them loosen up. We did a couple of fountains and a whole lot of sparklers. We woke up early the next morning and got ready for the parade. The kids had fun collecting the candy but could have cared less about the actual watching of the parade. The park had fun bounce houses. By noon it was so hot and the kids were done. We decided to go to Pizza Factory with three hot and tired kids. WHAT WERE WE THINKING! It was CHAOS. Thank you Matt, Carrie, Kadence and Carrie's mom Marliyn. We had Fun!
