Family Reunion part 1

On our way to a family reunion up in Pacific Beach Washington. We flew into Portland and drove with my parents up to Pacific Beach. The kids were so great on the plane ride there. My parents happened to get on the same flight and sat right in front of us.
Kids were so excited to ride on the plane. As the plane was taking off Kam got scared and started to cry. He kept saying we were going to crash. About 2 mins later he settled down and everything was smooth sailing. We rented a mini van and were all 7 of us were able to travel together. We decided to stay the night in Seaside Oregon and head up to Pacific beach WA in the morning.
Nick passed this Camp 18 as a kid on his way to visit his grandparents, so we had to stop as well.
They had a restaurant, gift shop and some really pretty walking trails. We stopped for a little bit to stretch our legs.

A little creek behind the restaurant.

We stayed at a hotel in Seaside that was right on the beach. We are used to 100degree weather this time of year. It is not the case in Oregon and Washington. It was in the high 60's and cold. We found this little aquarium that my kids just loved.
They were able to pick up the little starfish and touch different sea animals.
They also got to feed some seals.
The beach right out by our hotel. As me and my mom were telling the kids to try and not get wet they take off running and end up soaking. They had so much fun.
The next morning we stopped by this Arcade fun house place.  My mom and dad enjoying the bumper cars with the kids.
Nick's favorite movie of all time is The Goonies. He found this Goonies museum that was on our way up to Washington. Of course we had to stop. I thought it was hokey but Nick loved it.

This was the County Jail that was used in the movie. The kids left with some Goonie Memoribilia and the Goonies Movie.

Carrie Buhler Visit

My friend Carrie and her daughter Kadence were staying in Vegas. We decided to go in and meet up with them at the Mandalay Bay Shark Reef.
Kadence got along great with my kids.
Avery and Kadence deciding if they were going to touch the sting ray or not.
I love my friend Carrie. Even though we do not see or talk to each other as often as we should, it is just like old times when I do get to see her. We laughed and had a great time!

4th of July

Avery of course wanted 4th of July hair.
Early afternoon we went to a kids 4th of July party at the Abel's house. The kids swam and jumped on the trampoline.
There was lots of yummy food. Kasen, Peyton, Bailey, and Avery.
Played with a few sparklers and had a lot of fun!

After that we went straight over to the park to hang out and watch the Town set off  fireworks.
Kasen and Ella patiently waiting.
Avery and her friend Peyton
Daddy and Kamden
Mommy and Avery
Kamden intrigued by the fireworks.
The next night we let off our own fireworks in front of the house. We had g-ma Julie, Aunt Steph and Vanessa come down. The kids loved it!

Summerland Tour!

              Summerland Tour 2012!!!
                                           (Katie,Lori,Me)

The Summerland Tour was all 90's Bands..... Everclear, Marcy, Playground, Sugar Ray, Lit
and the Gin Blossoms.

We had such a blast. We had dinner at House of Blues and then made our way out to the concert in the Mandalay Pool area. Most people just wore their swimsuits. You could sit on the sandy beach area or stand in the water and be in the front. We chose the water. We were as close as they would let us.

                                     (Nick,Eric,Jimmy)

Sugar Ray by far put on the best show but all the bands did well. The weather was so nice and being in the water cooled you write down. Thanks Katie and Jimmy for the invite! We had a great time with great company.
