Disneyland Trip

Nick came home on Tuesday and said his Mom and Dad wanted to go to Disneyland. Wednesday we were on our way. We met Nick's aunt and uncle and also some friends Craig and Tina down there as well. Craig and Tina have a little boy about 6 months younger than Kasen. They had a blast together. We had tickets for Disneyland and also California adventure.

Kasen's favorite ride is Pirates of the Caribbean. I think we went on it at least 3 times. Avery decided she didn't like it so each time Kasen went on Pirates I took Avery on the Jungle Cruz. One night we all met for dinner at the ESPN restaurant. After two hours of waiting we finally got to order. It was a cool place. The entire upstairs was an arcade and different types of sports games. Avery loves Tinkerbell and oohed and ahhed over the fireworks and especially the part when Tink flies over the park. The kids were wonderful and thanks to Grandma and Grandpa we had a wonderful three day trip.

Easter Fun! - Round 2

I had gone Easter dress hunting for Avery and I ended up buying two dresses. They were both cute and I just couldn't make a decision. I will post a pic of the other one later.

The kids woke up Easter Sunday and were ecstatic that the Easter Bunny had come a second time. Kasen said " The Easter Bunny is real and he sure does love me!" The Easter Bunny again left the eggs inside for the hunt. The kids were just running as fast as they could to collect all the eggs. I bet we could open our own candy store with as much candy and treats as they got. They each got a toy and some clothes. We later got dressed and went to Nick's families cabin which is about 45 minutes away and spent the afternoon with them. It is a wonderful opportunity for my children to be surrounded by both mine and Nick's family. It was a fabulous weekend. (I can't wait for all the candy to magically disappear!)

Easter Fun!

We had a fun Easter weekend. We spent the night at my mom and dad's Friday night. We died Easter eggs and the kids loved mixing and designing their eggs. It was very cold and rainy on Saturday morning, so the Easter Bunny had to do the Easter egg hunt inside the house.

The Eater bunny was very generous and left toys, candy and money inside the eggs. Later that evening we had Easter dinner as a family. As always my kids leave grandma and papa's house spoiled!!!!!

Baby News!

SURPRISE! Baby #3 is on the way. I am thirteen weeks. Again I am a very high risk pregnancy. At about 4 weeks I was already starting to get sick. By 5 weeks I had been in to see my perinatologist or high risk doctor. I absolutley love my doctor. Both he and his office staff were excited to see us back. At that time everything looked good. I am always lucky if I can at least make it to 10 weeks and I did! At seven weeks I had to start my two shots a day of heparin (or blood thinner.) I have had ultra sounds every two weeks and so far so good. I have been extremely sick in the late afternoons and evenings. Trying to juggle being a mom, work, T-ball practices, house work, etc. has been a real challenge this time around. I am thankful that I have such a wonderful husband who has totally picked up the slack. The kids are very excited and of course Kasen wants a brother and Avery wants a baby sister. As for me, if I can make it through the pregnancy with a healthy baby I do not care either way. We are extremely excited to add another sweet spirit to our family!

First Game!

Today was Kasen's first T-Ball Game. He is number 3. His team is one of the youngest with mostly three and four year olds. I think we have one maybe two five year olds. It is pretty entertaining to watch these little kids play. Kasen did awesome. He hit one of the farthest balls and was very proud of himself. Although they have a lot of practicing to do overall they had a great first game.

At first I wasn't sure if Kasen was more excited about the game or the cupcake and juice he was going to get afterwards!

Green Eggs and Ham!

We surprised the kids with green eggs and ham om St. Patricks Day. At first they were a little leery, but after one bite they thought it was the coolest thing ever. Kasen told his teacher and babysitter all about it. He insisted that he wanted green eggs and ham for the next two days.

Though extremely hectic to do these fun things before a work day, it is always great to watch your kids faces light up with excitement. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

The Dodgers

Kasen is finally old enough to play an organized sport. He is on the Dodgers. Our friend Erik is the coach and Nick is the assistant coach. Erik's wife is also an assistant coach. Kasen is having a blast. He was so excited the other day at practice because when it was his turn to bat his ball went the furthest. He has practices 2x a week and starting in April he will have games on Saturdays. It is pretty comical to watch 13 children try to stay on task. So far Kasen has done great and listens to his coach.
