While we were there the kids enjoyed the zip line, bouncey slides, and getting some tattooes

This slide was huge. I thought for sure Kam would be terrified. He loved it!

Family Reunion Part 2

We stayed at an old military base that has been converted to a resort. Each family got a house. They were so nice. We shared with my parents. The kids enjoyed running up and down this grassy hill area. They flew kites, played baseball, frisbee, and tag. All of the kids got along so well. We were right on the ocean and it was cold. We were in jackets and pants the entire time.
Kam loved watching his kite! We had bonfires and roasted marshmallows. I love being surrounded by my family. Most of us do not talk or see each other the entire year, but when we come together it is so natural.  We just laughed and told stories and just hung out.
Kids playing by the beach in the freezing cold. My mom took Kasen and Avery out very early looking for sand dollars. They found about 16 complete sand dollars and 2 of them were still living.
Kasen's signature!

Kamden and cousin Ilan
My dad has 5 sisters and each of them were on the same high school dance team. They made matching shirts and did a little performance for us. It was hilarious but they are actually very good. Nick and I later drove over to Forks. It was about 80 miles away. I wanted to see where the movie Twilight was filmed or so we thought. The drive was beautiful, but when we got there we found out that only a couple of scenes were actually filmed there.

This was inside there welcome center. It was pretty cheesy. They gave you a map that took you around town showing you the houses from the movie. Except they were just random peoples houses that had the same similarities. The high school there is not the one they used in the movie either.
A sign outside a restaurant we ate at.
They had hung this sign by there medical center.
We played fun minute to win it games.
Kasen has played every sport you can think of and has never had a serious injury. He was running down the hills behind the houses we stayed at, tripped and tumbled down. I heard a scream I had never heard come out of him before. I knew at that moment something serious had happened. My cousin Kara is in sports medicine and took a look at his arm. She suggested we take him to the hospital. The hospital is over an hour away and we leave at about 9:00 at night. When we get there a crazy lady comes flieing out the front door in nothing but a hospital gown with cops running behind her. Both Nick and I just stare at each other and think why does this have to happen thousand of miles from home. We are out of network and this is going to cost us a fortune. Well there is still nice people in this world. A doc came out an dlooked at Kasens arm and said he probably had a hairline fracture. He gave us a brace and said to leave it on for about two weeks. They charged us nothing. They were so kind.
We had such a fun 5 days. On the way back to the airport, Nick and my dad did not want to beleive the GPS. (go figure because Nick thinks he knows everything). Well we got lost and were going to be late for our flight. Nick was driving and of course was speeding. He gets pulled over and gets a ticket. Then decides to beleive the GPS. Thank goodness our plane ws delayed and we were able to make the flight. This is Kams little friend he met at the airport.

Family Reunion part 1

On our way to a family reunion up in Pacific Beach Washington. We flew into Portland and drove with my parents up to Pacific Beach. The kids were so great on the plane ride there. My parents happened to get on the same flight and sat right in front of us.
Kids were so excited to ride on the plane. As the plane was taking off Kam got scared and started to cry. He kept saying we were going to crash. About 2 mins later he settled down and everything was smooth sailing. We rented a mini van and were all 7 of us were able to travel together. We decided to stay the night in Seaside Oregon and head up to Pacific beach WA in the morning.
Nick passed this Camp 18 as a kid on his way to visit his grandparents, so we had to stop as well.
They had a restaurant, gift shop and some really pretty walking trails. We stopped for a little bit to stretch our legs.

A little creek behind the restaurant.

We stayed at a hotel in Seaside that was right on the beach. We are used to 100degree weather this time of year. It is not the case in Oregon and Washington. It was in the high 60's and cold. We found this little aquarium that my kids just loved.
They were able to pick up the little starfish and touch different sea animals.
They also got to feed some seals.
The beach right out by our hotel. As me and my mom were telling the kids to try and not get wet they take off running and end up soaking. They had so much fun.
The next morning we stopped by this Arcade fun house place.  My mom and dad enjoying the bumper cars with the kids.
Nick's favorite movie of all time is The Goonies. He found this Goonies museum that was on our way up to Washington. Of course we had to stop. I thought it was hokey but Nick loved it.

This was the County Jail that was used in the movie. The kids left with some Goonie Memoribilia and the Goonies Movie.
Kam checking on papa!

Carrie Buhler Visit

My friend Carrie and her daughter Kadence were staying in Vegas. We decided to go in and meet up with them at the Mandalay Bay Shark Reef.
Kadence got along great with my kids.
Avery and Kadence deciding if they were going to touch the sting ray or not.
I love my friend Carrie. Even though we do not see or talk to each other as often as we should, it is just like old times when I do get to see her. We laughed and had a great time!

Avery of course wanted 4th of July hair.
Early afternoon we went to a kids 4th of July party at the Abel's house. The kids swam and jumped on the trampoline.
There was lots of yummy food. Kasen, Peyton, Bailey, and Avery.
Played with a few sparklers and had a lot of fun!

After that we went straight over to the park to hang out and watch the Town set off  fireworks.
Kasen and Ella patiently waiting.
